I have always been interested in HCI. As CSCW is an interesting branch of it, I want to know more details and knowledge of it by taking this course. I am also very interested in today's famous social networks such as twitter and facebook. Since they all have indispensable relationship with CSCW, I want to see how the techniques are used in those networks. Furthemore, Dr Shipman is an excellent professor and I am sure I can learn a lot from his class.
As a Chinese student, I use qq and weChat to keep in touch with my friends before I came here. I also use gmail, gTalk, facebook, twitter quite often now. Of course I have played online games (who hasn't?!), and I have tried many kinds of online games and I liked some of them very much. But recently, I really don't have time to play any more. I use Doodle to schedule meetings, gitHub to coordinate software projects, googleDoc to work on collaborative writings.
